"Let me just say this: it's a lot younger than you think,'' the president said yesterday as he accepted birthday greetings from a Canadian reporter during a news conference with Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
.
Unfortunately hundreds of thousands did not reach the age of 60 in good health, worse: tenths of thousands dindn't reach the age of 60 at all. Thank you mr. President! Thank you so much...

This war is such an abomination I sometimes wonder if it would be better if we didn't survive as a race. Of course, thanks to Mr. Bush and his confreres, we may just have that decision settled for us in the near future.
I get so mad whenever I see the Iraq body count and to know that Bushy over there doesn't care.
In response to you and Jublu on my spider post:
Okay, next time I'll post photos of the freakin mountains - so much for my nature photo :)
Yes DA, there are magnificent ski hills near here (Whitewater and Red Mountain for example). We also have glaciers within an hour of home with snow year round. There is a natural hotspring with caves to swim in that is 30 minutes from our door. This is a heavenly area that we're mostly keeping secret. Blogger friends welcome!

I think that count may be a little low. Of course one would be too many.
We have elections coming up in November. Not for President, unfortunately, but some of us have hopes of changing the makeup of Congress.
Madcap said it; I echo it from the USA.
Well Dimitri... you already well know what my feelings about this idiot's birthday are.... like I said: I'll get the candles and you get a skull from the any number of the people Bush has caused to be killed in his imperialistic bloodletting, and he can make a wish and blow that out. Where will you get a skull?? Ask Bush's favorites Karl Rove or Dick Cheney... I'm sure those 2 have closets full of them.
Guess you're never too old to destroy the planet! How inspiring!
Amen, DA, amen.
PT, how apropos a Canadian quote! (New Orleans got to be sinkin' after all)
Good post DA..short and to the point,

My estimate came from several online blogs.
They were using numbers from the Baghdad medical examiner (morgue).
Since the USA doesn't keep track of civilian casualties, it's a very rough estimate.
I'm lovin' Pink's song "dear mr president" more for every second Bush is President...
