I like ST. In my younger life I attended a few conventions.Once used the excuse of attending a convention in Sacramento, Cal. to escape the Gulf Coast and embark on a 5,500 mile odyssey with my younger sister, before our increasingly irate adult children began demanding that their errant mothers return to the bosom of the family. It was a great escape while it lasted (5 weeks) and I saw a lot of the US countryside. And a few other things.

Favorites: Original ST= Spock, Scotty. NG=Picard. DS9=Worf (saw him at a convention and he's actually a fine looking young man).
V= the American Indian man, my brain went on freeze and can't recall his name at the moment.

I understand the male interest in 7 of 9. The producers did too. Eventually the series should have been called ST: 7 of 9 instead of V, they featured her adventures so much. A lovely and talented young lady. I'm certain her artistry was the main interest of the males. Heh!

Thank you for the url. That is indeed a brave man. Ofcourse Bush will never see his letter as he is insulated from everything he doesn't want to hear. This brave man may find himself under investigation as a possible subversive, as Bush's attitude is that if you or not with him, you are with the terrorists.
You do like to stimulate dialog, don't you. That's good. I like your posts.

I've always been fascinated by the Q. What would our lives be like in parallel existence?

Zee said...

what do you do or say if you don't watch TV?

Unknown said...

Zee, wing it. Or maybe give your favorite literary character, eh Dimitri??

I'll be back. Probably Deanna Troi or better yet, her mother. Now there was a female.

WA it's Chakoty or Chakota or something close to it. I liked him too.

Bebe said...

Totally Chakotay, Grannie.
But I'd have to say Data, the Doctor or Q. The others are just mere humanoids.

Spock was my first real crush, before I understood that "every 7 years" thing. Worf was also a favorite. Chakotay was HOT, but they really dropped the ball in developing that character. Major Kira was my favorite female character and one of the best-developed ST characters ever (I'm not talking physically, DA. Geez.). Mr. Garak has always been a favorite, too.

DS9 was my favorite ST series.

Who was the best captain?

I had a major crush on Capt. Kirk when I was a little girl.

Favorite Captain? Sisko is the coolest one, hands down. He's ultra hot, plays baseball, saves worlds, cooks and folks, he's a dad and still has time to be The Emissary!
Janeway is the strongest but at the expense of having no life of her own. An overacheiver all her life, she's very driven and slighty obsessive. She should'a jumped Chakotay and gottten some Maquis action long ago.
But perfection is Jean Luc, artificial heart and all.
Calm, cool yet emotionally available, brilliant, artistic, dashing, trusting, and oh baby, love them piercing blues.

I'm ashamed to say I don't have one. I'm more a Star Wars fan. (Han Solo and Chewbacca rule, but Kirk and Spock drool.)

Sisko is my favorite captain, Bebe.

DA, want to get in on my hat contest. I'm dying to see how it looks on you. Anybody else?

Granny said...

Now we're on captains? Janeway, of course from Voyager.

Sorry Granny but I vote JL Picard!
