A crocodile is longer than it is wide

I should be cleaning the kitchen sink, fill out my tax forms or study but I am not capable of doing anything useful at the moment...

So now I'll prove you that a crocodile is longer than it is wide :

Lemma 1. The crocodile is longer than it is green: Let's look at the crocodile. It is long on the top and on the bottom, but it is green only on the top. Therefore, the crocodile is longer than it is green.

Lemma 2. The crocodile is greener than it is wide: Let's look at the crocodile. It is green along its length and width, but it is wide only along its width. Therefore, the crocodile is greener than it is wide.

From Lemma 1 and Lemma 2 we can conclude that the crocodile is longer than it is wide.

OK, up to more bull^s%^&*, anything to avoid doing things that have to be done anyway..

Dimitri's break from his work is longer than the work (same formula).

Do some people have entirely too much time on their hands?

But we love you anyway.

LOL. What an utter waste of words! I think half the scientist in the world are turning in their graves! lol

LOL, dimitri you're not alone! I actually (re)injured my back this year a couple weeks ago, thus postponing dealing with the inevitable tax nightmare. Not on purpose (huh!), but it was very convenient. A peaceful few days in bed, ahhhh. Then had to work like demon to file on time. Never thought about euclidian proof of a crocodile's proportions, hummm, there's always next year ! D.K.

I don't care for these exercises in logic. Our president would say it's "speckle-ation." I want some real scientific data based on observation. For example, can you determine if its breath is stinkier than its butt?
